Time Management & Visual Schedules
Products:
Time Timer MOD (Home Edition): This is the visual timer I recommend to almost every client. It shows time as a disappearing colored disk so you can literally see time passing. Great for transitions, homework, morning routines, and focused work blocks. Buy on Amazon
Printers Jack Pomodoro Timer: A compact, rechargeable productivity cube with six preset countdowns (3–60 min) activated by a simple flip, plus a built-in Pomodoro mode. Features silent, vibration, and sound alerts with a magnetic base. Great for work, study, or ADHD focus sessions. Buy on Amazon
Skylight Calendar: A smart touchscreen wall calendar that keeps your family's schedule, chores, meal plans, and lists all in one place. It syncs with Google, iCloud, Outlook, and more, and includes a mobile app for managing everything on the go. Buy on Amazon
Large Dry Erase Weekly Planner: A wall-mounted weekly planner the whole family can see. I recommend putting this somewhere central — the kitchen or a hallway — so the plan is always visible. Buy on Amazon
Magnetic Dry-Erase Chore Chart: 14.5 × 11 weekly chore chart to provide children with structure and responsibility. Buy on Amazon
ADHD brains struggle with time perception. These tools make time visible, which is the first step to managing it.
Focus & Sensory Tools
Sometimes the right fidget or sensory tool is the difference between a productive session and a frustrating one. These are the tools that support focus.
Products:
NeeDoh Fidget Toys: NeeDoh toys are squishy, non-toxic sensory toys designed for stress relief and focus. A huge hit with my kid and adults clients, their unique groovy glob texture returns to its original shape after squeezing, providing a satisfying sensory experience that users describe as addictive. Perfect for managing stress, staying focused, or just keeping restless hands busy. Buy on Amazon
Weighted Lap Pad:Provides calming deep pressure without a full weighted blanket. My younger clients use these during homework and reading time. Adults use them during desk work. Buy on Amazon
Noise-Canceling Headphones:Reducing auditory input can dramatically improve focus for ADHD brains. I recommend over-ear noise-canceling headphones for homework, work-from-home time, or when the house gets loud. Buy on Amazon
Resistance Bands for Chairs:These stretch bands attach to the front legs of a chair so kids (or adults) can bounce their feet while sitting. Movement without disruption. Teachers love these too. Buy on Amazon
Organization & Planning
Executive function challenges often show up as disorganization — lost items, forgotten tasks, and cluttered spaces. These tools help externalize what your brain struggles to hold internally.
Products:
Pilot FriXion:These pens are my favorite! I even give them away to clients because they love them too! They bring the best of both worlds: vibrant gel ink colors and the freedom to erase cleanly with a quick swipe. No smudges, no paper damage — just write, erase, and rewrite until it's perfect. Great for notes, planners, and anyone who loves a colorful, mistake-free page. Buy on Amazon
Accordion File Folders: 5 pocket expandable folders make life so much easier. Students can just slide papers right in — no hole punching or fighting with binders. I recommend one per core subject. I also keep one in my car between the seat and console to store important papers flat instead of crumpled or lost. Simple, affordable, and a total game-changer. Buy on Amazon
Planner for ADHD Adults: Not all planners work for ADHD brains. This one is designed with ADHD in mind — simpler layouts, weekly views, space for priorities (not endless task lists), and habit tracking. Buy on Amazon
Tile Bluetooth Tracker: For the keys, wallet, or bag that disappears every single morning. Attach a Tile and find it with your phone. This one tool has saved my clients more time (and arguments) than almost anything else. Buy on Amazon
Clear Storage Bins with Labels: ADHD brains forget what they can't see. Clear bins make everything visible, and labels mean things actually get put back. I recommend these for kids' rooms, closets, pantries, and home offices. Buy on Amazon
Door-Mounted Organizer: A simple over-the-door organizer for backpacks, homework folders, permission slips, and all the things that need to make it out the door in the morning. Put it right by the exit. Buy on Amazon
Nutrition & Gut Health
Emerging research shows a real connection between gut health and ADHD symptoms. Fiber-rich foods feed beneficial gut bacteria, and protein supports dopamine production. These tools make healthy eating easier — especially on chaotic days.
Products:
Bento Box Lunch Containers: Pre-portioned sections make it easy to balance protein, fiber, and snacks without overthinking it. Great for kids' lunches and adult meal prep. Buy on Amazon
Personal Blender (Single Serve):The fastest way to get a brain-boosting smoothie into your morning. Spinach, banana, peanut butter, done. My go-to recommendation for clients who skip breakfast. Buy on Amazon
Clear Fridge Organizer Bins:Make the healthy food the visible food. Prepped snacks in clear bins at eye level means kids (and adults) grab the good stuff first. Buy on Amazon
Sleep & Wind Down
Sleep is non-negotiable for ADHD brains. Poor sleep worsens every symptom — impulsivity, emotional reactivity, inattention, and working memory. These tools support the wind-down process.
Products:
OK to Wake Clock: A color-changing clock that signals bedtime (red) and wake time (green). Helps younger children understand the sleep schedule visually, without constant verbal reminders from you. Buy on Amazon
Weighted Blanket: Deep pressure stimulation helps regulate the nervous system and makes falling asleep easier. Choose a blanket that's roughly 10% of body weight. Available in kids' and adult sizes. Buy on Amazon
Blue Light Blocking Glasses: Screen exposure before bed suppresses melatonin production, which is already disrupted in many people with ADHD. These glasses help the brain start winding down even if screens are still on. Buy on Amazon
White Noise Machine: Blocks unpredictable sounds that keep ADHD brains alert. Consistent background noise helps the brain settle. I recommend this for both kids' rooms and adult bedrooms. Buy on Amazon
Vibrating Alarm Clock: I love the DreamSky Vibrating Alarm Clock because it actually gets you up. Instead of relying on sound alone, it has a powerful bed shaker you place under your pillow that vibrates to wake you. It's perfect for heavy sleepers, teens who sleep through everything, and anyone who is hearing impaired. It's rechargeable, battery operated, and portable enough for travel. It even adjusts for daylight saving time automatically and has a backlight display. If traditional alarms just aren't cutting it, this one is a game-changer. Buy on Amazon
These are the books I find myself recommending to clients again and again. Whether you're trying to understand your own brain or support someone you love, start here.

Dr. Tamara Rosier breaks down why the ADHD brain thinks, feels, and acts the way it does, and does it with warmth and zero judgment. It covers the stuff that really affects daily life, like time management, motivation, big emotions, and relationships. In addition to explaining the ADHD brain, it's packed with practical tools you can actually use. This book gave me permission to stop trying to do it all. Kendra's whole approach is simple — be a genius about the things that matter to you and lazy about the things that don't. She gives you thirteen practical principles like "decide once," "start small," and "schedule rest" that actually make daily life feel manageable instead of overwhelming. If you're tired of the hustle-and-burnout cycle, this one's for you. Buy on Amazon

This is the book I recommend to just about everyone. James Clear breaks down how tiny, consistent changes lead to massive results over time. It's not about willpower or motivation. It’s about building systems that make good habits easy and bad habits hard. Whether you're trying to get more organized, healthier, or just more intentional with your time, this book gives you a realistic framework that actually sticks. Buy on Amazon

This book completely shifted how I think about parenting. Dr. Becky's core message is simple — your kids are good inside, even when their behavior says otherwise. Instead of time-outs and rewards, she teaches you to connect first, set boundaries with compassion, and actually understand what's driving the meltdown. She gives you real scripts and strategies you can use today. Whether you're raising a toddler or a teen, this one makes you feel like a better parent just by reading it. Buy on Amazon

This is the book that helped me finally understand what's going on in my kid's brain during a tantrum. Siegel and Bryson break down child brain development in a way that's easy to grasp and show you how to respond in the moment — not with punishment, but by connecting with your child and helping them integrate their emotions. It's full of practical strategies that turn everyday parenting struggles into opportunities to help your child grow. If you want to parent with more patience and less guesswork, start here. I wrote this book specifically with my ADHD clients in mind. After nearly two decades as a school psychologist, I kept meeting kids who were trying so hard to do the right thing, but couldn't manage the big emotions, sensory overload, and fight-or-flight responses getting in the way. Amy G. is for them. Through her story of moving to a new state and facing an overwhelming first day of school, kids learn how their brains react to stress and pick up real calming strategies like deep breathing, grounding, and positive self-talk. I wanted children to know that bravery isn't about being fearless. It’s about facing hard things with courage and care. It's perfect for ages 4–10, and I also created a companion workbook to help kids, parents, educators, and therapists keep building those skills together. Buy on Amazon
